PERINATAL MENTAL HEALTH SARNIA-LAMBTON

We offer Perinatal & Postpartum Mental Health Counselling In Sarnia-Lambton

WHAT IS PERINATAL MENTAL HEALTH

The emotional and physical aspects of pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenthood can be exciting, but can also be challenging and overwhelming. Perinatal means the period of “all around” birth. We use it to mean the period of time all throughout pregnancy as well as the baby’s first year.

Our team has received specialized training through Postpartum Support International: Advanced Perinatal Psychotherapy Certificate.

Mental Health Check-In

While many parents experience some mild mood changes during or after the birth, 15 to 20% of women experience more significant symptoms of depression or anxiety. Please know that with informed care you can prevent a worsening of these symptoms and can fully recover.

Are you feeling sad or depressed?

Do you feel more irritable or angry with those around you?
