More Than Just My Work: When I'm not at work, you will find me reading a good mystery/thriller, or relaxing with my poodles!
You may be feeling overwhelmed with your thoughts and feelings and not sure where to go next. You might know that something needs to change, but you just arenβt sure how.
Your child might be struggling with new and big feelings, struggling in school or socially, or maybe there are difficult behaviours that you arenβt sure how to manage.
My approach to therapy is client-centered and tailored to your specific goals. I believe that you are the expert in your life. I strive to develop a positive therapeutic relationship to support you in your journey. My role is to help you in facilitating change. We work together to restructure the thoughts and behaviours that no longer serve you.
I am a Registered Social Worker with the OCSWSSW and the OASW. I have a diploma in Child and Youth Work as well as a Bachelorβs degree and Masters degree in Social Work. I am trained in EMDR, CBT, and DBT. I have several years of experience working in the social service field supporting children, youth, and adults. I specialize in working with children and youth with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma.
